SAMHSA WEBINARS ON OPIOID USE
SAMHSA’s Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT) and SPRC recently co-hosted a two-part webinar series examining the connections between opioid abuse, overdose, and suicide. The webinar recordings, slides, transcripts, and handouts are now available on SPRC’s website:
- The Intersection of Opioid Abuse, Overdose, and Suicide: Understanding the Connections. In this webinar, presenters examine current research on the relationship between these problems, discuss opportunities for cross-sector collaboration to address them, and describe examples from the field where this work is already underway.
- The Intersection of Opioid Abuse, Overdose, and Suicide: The Role of Chronic Pain. In this webinar, presenters examine common characteristics among people with chronic pain and discuss strategies for reducing the risk of opioid overdose and suicide in this population.
